in response to: THIS RESTURANT HAS SUPER SERVICE , GREAT ...
I ordered the roast beef sandwich. 1st the toast was beyond burnt then I was so looking forward to the horseradish Mmmmm nope - it had no zip other than tasting like vinegar which I quickly scrapped it off as I had intisipated excellence from the other posts for this cafe. Even the katchup sucked as the fries needed a bit of something. The onion rings seamed to be beer battered so they on there own where good but for an extra $2.50 to upgrade from fries ... They did not give you enough! My hubby went for the novelty Everett burger- the 1 st patty was good but the other two were full of big chunky grissel , ham was tough and dry, but the sausage was great! As for best pies - maybe back in the day Gladys made them 65 anniversary and as employee told us .. store bought pie crust later - not a fabulous meal. Not even good
Terrific history. Excellent location. Wonderful skeleton for a superb destination diner.
Mediocre food. Poor menu. Clueless mgmt.
This place has all the merits of a future gem if put in the right hands with some restaurant savvy and real food experience.
